This is me.

One of my favorite songs today is "This is me by Camp Rock", not because my life now is similar to what the meaning of song but because I wanted someday, this song to be the song of my life.

I look forward to the time that I am exactly where I'm suppose to be. To some place where I LOVE what I do and I savor every moment of it. Somewhere I can show who is the "real me".

 

Breaking the silence.

After a few weeks of silence, I thought I could really get away with the noise that is continuously bothering my life right now but it seems that everyone is speaking with loud voices that I can't take it anymore.

I have been very vocal about my thoughts and feelings on whatever topic or issue that I had gone through. I don't know if I have been too vocal about it but I know that its my way of breaking the chain that forcefully keeping me in pain.

At this moment, I am still having second thoughts if I will still be writing things like this but I feel that if I stop I will suddenly burst! 

Life is truly full of drama, no one can escape that but anyone can surpass it. I cannot say that I am completely happy with what is happening with my life right now but I am just a bit disappointed because I am in a place where I cannot do anything but to survive. It is like living underwater where I cannot breath.

Chained.

Locked.

Imprisoned.

I want freedom!

Random Thoughts (10/14/08)

*In my twenty-one years of existence in this world, I really didn't imagine that I would look like I know everything. Hehe. I am always being asked directions, where is this place, where can we find this and that, etc. Hay. Do I really look like I know every place in this world?? I don't even look like nice and kind(right??).

*I am having a hard time absorbing everything here. (Slow-to-warm-up child! hehe)

*I really want to watch Make it happen, do you think by October 18 it is still showing?

*Speaking of movies, when will be the release date of High School Musical 3? My sisters want to watch it.

*How does it feel to have a vacation?

If I will be asked about my current status in life, I would compare it with a child's life.

A child that is forced by her mom to eat vegetables but really did not want to and since the child wanted to obey her mom she force herself to eat the vegetables and for her mom not to be disappointed, she will pretend that she is enjoying her food and all but deep inside, she is not anything at all. When she got used with the situation, she is always half-smiling, as in feeling 'incomplete'. She grows physically but not in the real sense of "living" a life.

A child who did good on her test but her mom says nothing about it as if it is just a normal thing. The child feels unappreciated and becomes demotivated to work on her school tasks, as a result she is not performing well and this is the time that her mom will say something to her and since she is your mom you cannot explain your side. You will end up getting use with the feeling of unappreciated.

Sad but true, I simply can't help but to see myself that way.

Timezone

I really just have drifted in the timezone. Hehe. Together with my friends namely: Kate a.k.a "Rina"; Pau; Rose; and Sheer (kahit humabol lang ayos na din..btw, thanks sa free Php 100 reload). Para kaming bumalik sa pagkabata. I really admit that this is something I missed when I was a child. Pero its never too late for us, right? This is our way to release our stress from work. Saya! 


Galing ni Kate, nagka-discount pa siya kahit di na siya student (crush siya nung cashier!!!! kaya ganun) at talaga namang kinareer ang 'house of the deads'<-- tama ba?? and thanks at effective ang paawa effect ko.. nakuha ko yung PIG!!!!!

TOXIC FRIEND

 "A friend is someone who sees the good in us and makes us feel good about ourselves. She is supportive, caring, nurturing, encouraging us to reach our dreams, and looks out for our welfare," says Dr. Candice Vera Sia.

         But not all friends are like that; some may make you feel bad about yourself, directly or indirectly, most of the time, they are called toxic friends. Dr. Sia clarifies that the term "toxic friend" is not an actual psychiatric diagnosis, but a word commonly applied to a friend who drains you emotionally, mentally or even financially with unkind gestures, comments, criticisms, and subtle rejections.

        There is no perfect friend and, at times, we ourselves can become "toxic" to others. The key is consistency. If someone is consistently making you feel bad, being critical and demanding, taking from and not giving to the friendship, then you might have a toxic friend on your hands.

Dr. Sia recommends the following steps when addressing the issue of toxic friendships:

1. Understand the situation
        Perhaps your friend is being negative right now because she is going through particularly hard or stressful times. Again, the key is here consistency.

2. Know your reasons
        Ask yourself why you stick with this relationship. There are reasons why we stick to our friends/toxic friends. Oftentimes it is due to low self-esteem, afraid that if they say anything, they would be rejected and aboandoned in favor of another friend.

3. Take responsibility
        Assess if the relationship is worth saving and take steps to preserve it. Accept that expecting others to change is unrealistic.

4. Communicate
        Often, a toxic friend is not aware of how she affects others "whenever she whines at the nth time, or criticizes you every time you meet", says Sia. Sometimes, letting her know is enough to put a stop to it or arleast limit it.

5. Set boundaries
        People treat you the way you allow them too. So you need to set limits for someone who vents day in and day out.

6. Refer
        We cannot solve our friend's problem for her. "If the same repeating patterns of depression, conflict, anger or problems do not go away, then it would be best to propose she seek professional help," advises Sia.

7. End the relationship
        If you get nothing but pain, sadness, and hurt from a friendship, let it go, says Sia. "It is not always easy to do but if the benefits, such as less stress, less rejection, and freedom, outweight the loss of having a toxic friend, then do it."

I give the movie 4 stars for the reasons that the movie house of Trinoma was really jampacked and the use of sound effects were very effective. We really didn't plan to watch that movie but since we only have limited options I chose this ("I" because its my treat so they have no choice! hehe). Somehow, Heath Ledger really caused the hit of the movie why, probably because of the curiousity and all.

There are brokeback moments in the movie which really made us laugh. Although there are scenes that I really did not appreciate.

Shocking Story( Nakakaiyak)

HARD TO BELIEVE BUT... JUST READ.
THIS IS A VERY SHOCKING STORY... NAKAKAKILABOT TALAGA...

This is a story from University of the Philippines (Diliman) about a young college girl who passed away last month. Her name was Tiffany. She was hit by a dumper truck. She had a boyfriend named Noel. Both of them were true lovers. They always hung on the phone. You could never see her without her cell phone. In fact she also changed her network coverage from Smart to Globe, so both of them can be on the same network, and save on the cost and get good network coverage. She spent half o f the day talking with Noel. Tiffany's family knew about their relationship. Noel was very close with Tiffany's family. (Just imagine their love). Before she passed away she always told her friends 'If I pass away please bury me with my hand phone' she also said the same thing to her parents.

After her death, people couldn't carry her coffin, I was there. A lot of them tried to do so but still couldn't, everybody including me, had tried to carry the coffin, the result is still the same. Eventually, they called a Feng Shui Master. He took a stick and started speaking to himself slowly. After a few minutes, he said 'THIS GIRL MISSES SOMETHING HERE '. Then her friends told the Master about her intentions to bury her with her phone. He then opened the coffin and places her phone and SIM card inside the casket. After that they tried to carry the coffin. It could be moved and they carried it into the van easily. All of us were shocked. Tif fany's parents did not inform Noel that Tiffany had passed away.

After 2 weeks Noel called Tiffany's mom and said, 'I'm coming home today. Cook something nice for me. Don't tell Tiffany that I'm coming home today, I wanna surprise her.' Her mother replied... 'You come home first, I wanna tell you something very important.' After he came, they told him the truth about Tiffany. Noel thought that they were playing a fool. He was laughing and said 'don't try to fool me - tell Tiffany to come out, I have a gift for her. Please stop this nonsense'. Then they showed him her grave. Noel said, 'It's not true. We spoke yesterday. She still calls me. Noel was shaking. Suddenly, his phone rang. 'See this is from Tiffany, see this...' he showed the phone to Tiffany's family. All of them told him to answer. He talked using the loudspeaker mode. All of them heard his conversation. Loud and clear, no cross lines, no humming. It was the actual voice of Tiffany & there was no way others could use he r SIM card since it was nailed inside the coffin. They were so shocked and asked for the Feng Shui Master's help again.

The Master brought his co-masters to solve this matter. He & his co-masters worked for 5 hours. Then they discovered one thing...

Ligaw na bulaklak sa EDSA

Habang ako ay sakay ng MRT at minalas na natalo sa pakikipagbuno para sa espasyong mauupuan, napansin ko ang mga ligaw na bulaklak sa mga poste na sumosuporta sa MRT.

Bigla ko itong naikumpara sa isang klasikong sitwasyon ngayon: ang mga ligaw na bulaklak ay tila mga taong nakikipagsapalaran dito sa Maynila. Kahit na sa isang mataas na poste sila nabuhay, nanatili pa din silang mga ligaw. Pilitin man nilang akyatin ang pinaka mataas na poste sa Maynila, bale wala din.

Walang nagtatangkang mag-alis sa kanila ngunit wala ding nag-aalaga.

Ang bawat isa ay kelangang mabuhay, kahit pa sa isang malamig na poste lamang sila kumakapit ang mahalaga: ANG MABUHAY.

Nakakalungkot isipin na madami ang nagiging LIGAW NA BULAKLAK SA EDSA.

"I'm not gay okay?"

Well, after a couple of discussion in the Ticket Booth (@MOA) ! we ended up watching this movie. I have no regrets, this is one of my top picks for the week! This is about Kate (Eva Parker) who died on her wedding day (because of her bitchy attitude!) and Henry (Paul Ruddy) her husband-to-be and Ashley (Lake Bell) the psychic lady who fell in love with Henry. Kate's spirit needs to do something about her unfinished business but since she didn't listen to the angel, she really didn't have any ideas on what to do so she thought that Henry should not be with Ashley and she did her best to seperate the two but after that she saw Henry wasn't happy. Ashley, on the other hand, at first, was trying to help Henry to recover but in the process, she fell in love with him. She also was able to see and talk to Kate but it was hard for her to tell Henry and Dan (her "gay" bestfriend) that she really saw Kate. This is a good movie, not a waste of money. There is no hot gorgeous guy but the plot was good so I gave this movie with 4 stars!

Gross! Eww! That is all I can say through out the movie. Although, it really gave me creeps and every time I will here the song “Every Woman in the World” I will remember all the slimy creatures. The story revolved with Starla the wife of Grant (the one who became a Slither) struggling to escape to the big yucky monster. Every person who was able to be penetrated by the slithers became one of Grant’s persona. Luckily, only 3 person in the town survived, Bill (the police officer who like Starla), Kylie (the girl who revealed the story behind everything) and of course Starla. And because of the slimy creatures – slithers, Grant, and all the props used I will give this movie, 4 stars.

This movie is just a big imitation, transforming the serious stuff into comedy. The trailer was good but the movie was bad. (We keep on wasting our money to movies like this!). They have this big death hole where different people were thrown! Basically, the main plot of the story was based on 300 the movie and they injected different personalities. This movie made me laugh but it didn’t made me satisfied enough to give this a 2 star movie! This is just a waste.

Ang Pagtatapos 2008

Akala ko magtutuloy-tuloy na ang mga kamalasan ko para sa araw na ito. Wala kasi kaming sasakyan kasi nasira buti na lang nakahiram kami. Napabili pa kami ng 'corsage' at pictures, anyway, tapos na yun. Pagkatapos ng matagal na pila sa entrance hanggang sa pag-mmarch sa loob ng Plenary hall hanggang sa pagsusuot ng toga at cap at paakyat sa stage at pagpopose eto na ang hindi ko makakalimutang parte!
